RONDOMBOS is in `n stil omgewing en beslis vir die natuurliefhebber. Ons is sowat 3 km vanaf die teerpad af, binne in die Magaliesberg natuurgebied. Ons is baie trots op die omgewing. Hier kom skaars plant spesies voor en ons het `n groot verskeidenheid voëls, insluitende aasvoëls. Hier is ook verskeie soorte kleinwild, katsoorte en bokkies wat nog voorkom. Die bedreigde bruin hiëna of strandwolf word ook nog soms aangetref.
Ons ligging is redelik uniek. Ons lê aan die noordekant van die berg in ‘n welige kloof wat noord – suid loop. Rondombos is aan die weste kant van die kloof teen die oostelike hang geleë. Omdat ons in hierdie kloof lê het ons ‘n uitsonderlike habitat. Die plantegroei wissel dus geweldig en dit is altyd groen hier by ons. Die klimaat is warm vir tenminste 9 maande van die jaar. Ons winters is baie kort met Junie en Julie as koue maande.
Rondombos is goed geleë.
Hartbeespoortdam is omtrent 15 km van ons af. Brits is 13 km weg. Om die dam is heelwat te doen soos bv. ‘n krokodil plaas, kaasfabriek, slangpark, akwarium, bootritte,`n verskeidenheid restourante, teetuine, kwekerye, vlooimark (Damdoryn), Tan Malie se winkel, Sun City (85 km).
Hier naby is ook ‘n unieke wynkelder wat drank van sitrus en inheemse vrugte produseer.
Welcome to Rondombos
Rondombos is a unique residence inside the Magaliesberg mountains. It is situated on the northern side of the mountain, in a lush ravine running more or less north / south. In this valey is a stream that runs mostly all year round. In this valey is always green and pleasant with virtually no frost. Due to this unique location we have a wide veriety of flora. We have the trees you normally find on the northern side of the mountain, we have a riverine ecology. We have a western slope that is very hot and only the toughest survive there. On the eastern slope you find the trees that is more tender. It is also more grassy than the western slope.
